Alysha Price and I share a workspace in the historic Loring Corners building, a place where history and ambition intertwine. Price is undoubtedly a force of the latter.
Price's journey into entrepreneurship was sparked by a personal experience. A mother to a now 21-year-old son borne from a long-standing friendship, she discovered that while they'd planned parenthood together, they grew in separate directions.
This unexpected challenge presented a learning opportunity. Her inherent compassion, coupled with this experience, inspired her to help others facing similar complexities in their co-parenting journeys.
A New Chapter for Families
The Price Dynamic, Price’s creative venture since 2018, is more than a business. It’s a lifeline for countless families navigating the complexities of co-parenting. A seasoned non-profit executive, Price had always been drawn to helping others. Her personal experience of co-parenting, while unexpected, deepened her understanding of the challenges faced by families in similar situations. Born out of the pandemic's isolating conditions, when traditional support systems crumbled, her enterprise emerged as a beacon of hope for many.
Recognizing the critical need for supervised visitation spaces as courts and community centers closed their doors during the pandemic, Price initially focused on providing this essential service. But, her vision extended far beyond this basic function. She aspired to create a comprehensive support system that encompassed counseling, coaching, and a safe, nurturing environment for parents to reconnect with their children.
Before long, Hennepin County swiftly recognized the invaluable contributions of The Price Dynamic to the community. Its endorsement served as a catalyst for growth, solidifying the organization's status as a vital resource for families experiencing the challenges of co-parenting. Price's all-in dedication to her clients is evident in every aspect of her work. She has cultivated a space where parents feel respected and valued, fostering an environment that prioritizes their well-being and creates a sense of normalcy for their children. The Price Dynamic has become a sanctuary for connection, healing and growth.
Empowering a New Generation of Entrepreneurs
Price's entrepreneurial spirit extends beyond her work with families. In addition to The Price Dynamic, she is cultivating another venture: AP Agency. This endeavor reflects her commitment to supporting the entrepreneurial community at large. AP Agency aims to create a thriving ecosystem for social entrepreneurs, providing a physical space, essential resources, and invaluable mentorship. Drawing on her own experiences navigating the complexities of entrepreneurship, Price recognizes the challenges and isolation often faced by those pursuing their passions. By sharing her knowledge and expertise, she hopes to empower others to transform their ideas into sustainable businesses that make a positive impact.
As a photographer and a new business owner, I'm drawn to the stories behind the lens. Prices’s story is an inspiring blend of determination, empathy, and a deep-rooted desire to make a difference in our society. Her journey exemplifies the power of human connection and the strength of the entrepreneurial spirit.
The Price Dynamic is located at 1637 Harmon Place #304.
