Meet Pedro Garcia, LynLake Brewery’s Back of House All Star.

‍Pedro’s role in the kitchen

Pedro is the kitchen supervisor for The Burger Joint at LynLake Brewery. He is in charge of the menu and the workers. He also creates the special burger of the month.

This isn’t Pedro’s only job

Pedro also works full-time as a maintenance supervisor at Hilton Garden Inn in Bloomington. He has been doing that for 10 years.

In his spare time he spends time with his children

Pedro has three kids. On Sundays he spends his day with his kids who are 14 and 16. His 21-year-old is now a father himself which makes Pedro a grandfather.

What is something surprising people wouldn’t know about Lynlake Brewery’s kitchen?

“The flavor,” Pedro said. Pedro is proud of making everything fresh.  Each day the kitchen staff shaves fresh onion, fresh lettuce, and packs fresh meat for the burgers. Nothing is frozen.  

Pedro also wants people to know that he can make other food for private events at LynLake Brewery. In the past he has made taco bars, fajitas, and burritos. During brunches (like when the Packer games are on) he has made chorizo burritos with eggs and chipotle mayo.

What are your favorite menu items?

The Firebird, The Lake Street burger, and the special burger of the month.

Pedro works at LynLake Brewery on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturdays.
