Ward 10 City Council candidate Chris Parsons has passed away. The Saint Paul Firefighters International Association of Fire Fighters Local 21 union announced his death this morning.

Parsons was a fire captain with the St. Paul Fire Department.

Parsons ran for Ward 10 City Council in 2021 and was to launch his 2023 campaign this week.

Parsons’ campaign issued the following statement today:

“Chris Parsons was a man of ethics and integrity. His life was built on service for all of us. He was a lobbyist who did advocacy work at  the capital to protect people and the environment.He received awards for his work. He truly was an amazing man, who will be greatly missed. Our hearts go out to his family.”
