Want to know when you can visit your kids' schools? Minneapolis Public Schools put together a helpful guide to when schools across the city will be holding their open houses, fall conferences, and special events.

Lynnea Atlas-Ingebretson, Southwest Minneapolis' representative to the Met Council, which is the Twin Cities regional planning and policy body, announced she's leaving the position this Thursday. She shared more details here. A process to replace her will be announced soon, and in the meantime, people should contact Hannah Pallmeyer at District6@metc.state.mn.us for all of their Met Council needs.

CHX restaurant, which opened in the old D'Amico space at 2210 Hennepin (which is not in Uptown), announced they're closing 90 days after they opened. They shared a location with Pizza Shark, which will take over the rest of the space. The CHX team said they'll be back in action somewhere else down the road.

The Linden Hills Neighborhood Council is accepting applications to join the board, but today is the last day to apply. Fill out an application or send to a friend here.

The Park Board is hosting a public hearing about reducing speed limits on Minneapolis parkways from 30 MPH to 20 MPH on Wednesday at 6:30 PM. If you want to give a public comment about the change, email jringold@minneapolisparks.org or follow the instructions in the link to call in before 12 PM on October 6th. Mia recently bought the entire Highpoint Editions archive, and starting on Saturday, you can check out 175 different prints from their collection. Highpoint Center for Printmaking has been doing cool stuff for 20 years, and has been at Lake St. between Bryant and Colfax since 2008. You don't want to miss this one.
