The city has added 783 units of affordable housing to its housing stock in five years, per a City of Minneapolis report. The report also notes that Helix Health & Housing Services placed 98 people in housing that were living in encampments. The City invested $1 million into Helix in 2023. Per the report, the Stable Homes, Stable Schools program has helped over 1,600 families experiencing homelessness receive services, including housing, from 2018-2023.
