Welcome to our weekly newsletter. On Fridays, we share things we've published, popular links from our daily newsletter, and a curation of stuff to do over the weekend.
Here's a roundup of what we published this week
We wrote about Union Hmong Kitchen's new space on Lake & Bryant and are all a tad (a lot?) disappointed it's for preparing food and not a restaurant. We still are stoked to have them in the neighborhood.
Anna wrote about your rights as a renter.
I followed Councilmember Aisha Chughtai's work as she began her time representing Ward 10. She talked with me about why she votes the way she does and the struggles she faces on the job.
East Harriet has a new tattoo shop that focuses on traditional tattooing. Tattoo Spirit's owner, Anton Zolotov, brings his tattoo vibes from Brooklyn, New York.
Links that our daily subscribers clicked on a lot this week
We shared the Bryant Reconstruction plan so you can follow along with the transformation of what I've dubbed "Bumpy Bryant" into a newly paved one-way street with two-way bike lanes.
TILT Pinball Bar is keeping everyone updated on its construction work at the former Liquor Lyle's and soon to be TILT's new location with its new name, LITT.
City Council Vice President Linea Palmisano's name was caught up in an identify theft ring. She wasn't the one opening up credit cards in her name at places like Best Buy.
