Union Hmong Kitchen is utilizing the former Mucci’s spot at 901 W. Lake St. as a kitchen for Chef Yai Vang's enterprises. It is currently using the space to prepare food for the Minnesota State Fair.

Currently, the Union Hmong Kitchen serves its food out of the Graze Provisions and Libations building and at the State Fair.

Union Hmong Kitchen’s Chef Yia Vang was named MSP Magazine's Chef of the Year in 2019 and voted Best Chef in City Pages in 2020. Yang was a chef on "Iron Chef: Quest For An Iron Legend," which premiered on Netflix in June.

According to Union Hmong Kitchen’s website, Vang is also opening up a new restaurant, Vinai, in Northeast Minneapolis next year.
