The Redistricting Group finalized their draft map of the city's new Wards on Friday evening. Wedge Live put together a great look at the old Ward boundaries alongside the proposed new ones.
The only large-scale changes are the 3rd Ward giving some of its new growth to its neighboring Wards and the 9th now going all the way to the Mississippi. A few of Southwest's Wards will be completely unchanged, while the 11th Ward will be adding a chunk of precincts to its north that are currently in the 8th Ward. The 8th will also add a section of precincts in the Central neighborhood that currently live in the 9th Ward.
There's a public meeting to discuss the map this Wednesday at 4:00 PM. Here's where you can sign up to leave a public comment, and here's a link with some info on how to watch online.
