We're hosting our first members meeting this Thursday! This is our first chance to gather (virtually) and hear from our members directly about how we're doing, what topics you think we should cover more deeply, and to introduce you to our first Founding Editor (who we'll be publicly announcing soon after). If you're interested in joining, you can sign up for a membership here.
We partnered with MPS parent Melissa Whitler to cover last week's school board meeting. The primary focus of the meeting was on the district's math and literacy assessments from fall 2021 and an update on the district's literacy framework. Here is her summary of the meeting, and you can find the Twitter thread about the meeting here.
We're hoping to do more of this type of thing in the weeks ahead, so we want to know from you – what do you think about the format? What other meetings would you like to see us cover? Reply to this email or fill out the "add context" box at the bottom of the article to let us know.
What questions do you have for the next City Council? We'll be interviewing a couple of the members representing Southwest soon, and we want to bring you with us. Send us a text message at 612-204-2887 with your questions and we'll try to fit them in.
