Southwest High School senior basketball player Lehla Gaulden broke her school's rebounding record this week. In a game against Roosevelt High School on Tuesday, she surpassed the all-time record of 732 rebounds. She broke the school's single season record of 328 rebounds earlier in the season. She leads the State’s 2024-45 season record with 413 rebounds. Gaulden's current career total is 761 rebounds.

Gaulden is “truly the best high school rebounder I’ve ever seen play and Southwest has been lucky enough to have her on our team,” Southwest Lakers Coach Dan Froehlich said.
The Lakers play their regular season game at home on Feb. 21 against Cambridge-Isanti at 7 p.m. Gaulden will be honored before the game for her accomplishments.
